He looks sensational at the level he has faught at. Is Warren goign to give him Jennings next?? I hope so, will be a good indicator of how good this kid is. I have a hunch that he looks to be the REAL deal. Look pphysically strong, 1 punch power a super Jab, but his best quality is that he looks amazingly calm in the ring, wastes very little energy and sways out of the way of punches. A more orthodox version of Hamed and a far cleaner Hitter than Witter.
good call very true, the only question 4 me is what is his heart like, we will only know that when he moves up a couple of levels
Exactly, Pressure will tell us alot. The thing that impressed me wit Khans win was a hew on so decisively stuck to the game plan against a very good fighter in his peak. All this after rebounding from a mentally damaging loss. We dont know wether Brook has the bottle to rise from adversity. I hope so. We all like a puncher. Frank Warren recently said he was the most talented fighter he has on his books. Thats not a bad compliment even coming from a punk like Warren
yep great prospect,, looks like the real deal in my eyes and future world champ if he keeps on goin the way he is,, although i see one flaw which could leav him wildly exposed at world level, NO HEAD MOVEMENT, its not all his fault because i think part of it is purely because he has it easy with all his oponents and isnt worried abou getn hit, but while walkin in the head stays stil so he possibly could be tagged at world level! but i stil rate him very highly!!
He will be a world champion. Im sure of it! after about 5 more fights and some more experience, i would favour him to beat Berto.
He hasn't faced someone with a combination of a half decent dig and even a chin as good as shaky. Only when he faces someone capable of taking a shot will we realise how far he is going to go. Someone like Matthew Hatton would be a decent bet, good chin, but not that good. If he was to stop Hatton jr, when Craig Watson couldn't, it would be a good sign. Then someone like Jennings, who is a decent-ish Euro level opponent.
Brook has talent, for sure. But he needs to be tested before I say he will or won't become something in the sport. Looks pretty good so far.
I don't think Matthew Hatton's chin can even be described as 'good' as yet. His competition level may have risen ever so slightly, but I don't think an old Ben 'UD loss' Tackie and a faded light welter in Ted Bami can be counted as opponents who could provide evidence of a boxers punch resistance. As regards Craig Watson I don't think he hits particularly hard either - 4 knockouts from 17 bouts attests to his. The ITV 4 commentary team were really pissing me of during his bout with O'Donnell making him out to possess devastating one shot KO power on the basis that he floored Khan as an amateur. Personally I have no idea why Warren insisted on options on Matthew's future if he was to make the Brook-Hatton fight. Brook would've won easily and early. Maybe it was just force of habit on Warren's behalf. Brook's last fight at domestic level should be O'Donnell, purely for the purpose of acquiring the Commonwealth belt. He should then target Bonsu, who he claims to have knocked out 'several times' in sparring.
Hi, i'm new here. Been reading this forum a while now so decided to finally join and post. Brook, a pretty impressive fighter from the little i've seen of him. Explosive and aggressive, but i'd have him down as a european level fighter.
Looks Dynamite! He is WAY, WAY above the level he's been fighting at so far, this is obvious... looks like he hasnt got out of 2nd gear yet! Loads more to come from him yet, the future of UK boxing along wih 1 or 2 others but for me hes the pick of the bunch.
Brook looks good, I like the way he is dominating domestic comp, thats a good sign. However he is in a top division so world titles wont come easy. When he throws more than one shot though he does leave himself open for a counter, this might be taken advantage of as he moves up. Theres no rush with him though, id like to see the Jennings fight and a shot at the EBU.
Kell looks a very good little fighter and if his power is as effective at elite level and he can prove to have a fairly durable chin i think he will definately go all the way. He is like Witter with a little added extra Naz to his style but unlike both of those fighters he isn't such an arrogant toss pot. I like Kell a lot and would really like him to **** off Frank 'cash cow milker' Warren and go in search of a test now
