GREAT JAB, STRAIGHT POWERFUL GREAT REACH, 70'S HEAVYWEIGHTS, -I CAN ONLY SAY FOREMAN HAD A BETTER ONE, KENNY PROBABLY USED HIS MORE, IT WAS A FORCE FOR EM, BEAT SOME VERY GOOD FIGHTER'S WITH THAT JAB. HOLMES AND ALI OF COURSE COME TO MIND , BUT IT WAS MORE OF A POWER PUNCH FOR NORTON AND ESPECIALLY BIG GEORGE.
Foreman talk about 3 boxers when it comes to jabs. Sonny Liston, Muhammad Ali and lastly, Ken Norton. He would later admitted that that jab gave him more problem than most people would've thought. Foreman think that the reason why Norton lost terrible like that becuz he chose fight rather than box like Ali.
Norton would hide his jab in a rhythm much like Holmes, he used this trick with Ali and Ali had no response for it.
See what Foreman did with his guard and understand why Joe Frazier was a God sent for him opposed to Ali and Young.
It always seemed to me Foreman did plenty of homework on Joe, where Joe (perhaps still traumatized by the effort and spectacle of FOTC) just seemed to wing it. George knew how to make Joe run into his punches, and it looked as though he'd practiced at it. Though I don't believe a Frazier that was as rage-motivated as he was during the FOTC would have been taken down anywhere near as easily, George's fight approach was seemingly impeccable.
