I'll be honest, I dont no too much about this guy. A quick check on his record seems to suggests he has a fair amount of power.

But I don't remember too many people raving about him before he signed to fight groves. Now all of a sudden he is a dangerous opponent to 1 of Britain's biggest talents?

Like I said I don't know too much about him. Do people tip him to be a future European or even world champ? Or is he really not that good and it's just Groves' fans that are talking him up as a dangerously good fighter?

I think people are just glad that a last minute S/O or TBA turned out to have the makings of a decent fight for once.

Average fighter to be honest. Based on his fights with King where he struggled like hell against a guy DeGale toyed with, and his last one against Wild or whatever he was called on the Quigg card. He looked fairly crude in his work for a commonwealth gold medalist, he was mostly coming forward throwing tons of hooks looking to blast the guy out of there and then got a dodgy stoppage in the 5th.

I see where your coming from. Even if the guy turns out to be nothing special, a 12-0 fighter with 8 or 9 KO's is pretty good for a TBA

Cheers m8. Not sure how i missed him in the Quigg card!

I'll give it a look over on YouTube. But from what your saying it seems Groves should beat him quiet comfortably. Should be interesting just to see how groves handles some1 with a bit of power.

His power that has been much vaunted by a few close to him on here didn´t impress against Wild. Wild didn´t look hugely bothered for the most part, then he was stunned finally, and it was a typically bad early stoppage. Wild was a big lad though so I´ll give him a bit of a pass...

    Still Groves´s toughest test.

i saw him in the commonwealth games. he was a destroyer, big right hand and a short sharp left hook. looked the goods. thought he was too old for the 2012 so went pro but really it wasn't a good exchange. shame. good fighter though. don't think he can go euro far but luckily he is being caught

I've read good and heard bad about him man .Supposed to be a banger man , hits hard .I read he's one of the hardest hitters on the pads man and his chin is solid . One fight tho his skill was bad tho man .Wasn't moving his head .Barry McGuigan's supposed to rate him as well

yeah that was something i was ignoring slightly lack of serious dedicated head movement, he can slip punches but not mid punch or when he is committing to the punch.

but i don't think he is 2-d he is being told to bully the guy. why?:?

Hope Anderson sparks out Groves myself.
It's pure spite on my behalf for them not taking the DeGale fight. :smoke

the ki ng fight ,he broke a rib in the 3rd round or something...so hes not going to look great is he ,what boxers would?

as for the carl wild fight ,i agree he didnt come out in his usual style but it was more about getting rounds in and shaking some ring rust ...

look through his records you wqill see he has ko's agaisnt guys who were naturally bigger (look at the weight diffrence between him and wild) so while that is not conclusive it does give a good measure of his power .

Sounds like a half decent test, not the usual cannon fodder. From what I've read, Anderson has been chasing this fight for a while, so you better believe he'll be up for it.
