Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist 80 plus wins as an amateur with less then 15 defeats... Won all his Commonwealth games bouts by KO apart from the win over Tony Jeffries. He boxed 8 rounds with a broken rib vs King- he beat Partrick Mendy out of sight from my view- the best seat in the house (his corner) and his performance against wild was unspectacular but solid and served the purpose of getting round under his belt. Also investigate the weights!!! Wild weighed in as a cruiser on the night.
Also ask Billy Nelson if he can punch- Billy has no reason to say that! No point defending him just can't weight till next sat.
Alba this is in no way trying to knock Kenny coz i hope he KO's Grooves but kenny never broke his ribs KING did with a punch. What i will say is theres no bigger puncher in the SMW division than Kenny, good luck to Kenny and kevin
I wasn't there so obviously my opinion counts for **** but I heard it was close and he was very lucky to get the decision. Saying that Mendy is awkward so it would be difficult for any fighter to look good against him. I'd love to see Anderson come up trumps against Groves... for as much as I'm sick of hearing De Gale's self-hype I think Groves has managed to somehow make himself look worse... which is an achievement when it seemed he was building a healthy support before he started acting like a gobby **** + sick of Booth's smarmey face
Do you reckon he has a real chance then or a punchers chance like Harrison fighting Haye? From my point of view it'll be interesting to see him in action. Will prob buy the ppv now
The odds on the ko/tko have now been moved to 3's...Did anyone manage to grab any of the 9/1 on offer?
Look, injuries and inactivity haven't helped but Anderson as of yet has not set the heathers alight. But, mark my words, he will be ready for this and Groves/Booth better not be taking this lightly. On Nov 13 I think you're gonna see the very best of Anderson. He is one tough son of a gun. I think you're all gonna be surprised as to how good this fight will be. For the first time Groves is not gonna have things his own way. He is gonna have to dig deep because I believe he's gonna get dragged into a war which Anderson will love, I'm not sure Groves will as much. Booth loves a gamble (Haye - Thompson) maybe he's at the roulette table to early.
Watched him spar fairly recently and to say he's heavy handed is an understatement! Even his jabs have a real sting in them. I never used to rate him until I seen him up close and saw how hard he can hit! Not sure his skill set is comparable to Groves though, but he can certainly be in and around the domestic scene for some time.
Nah until they are P4P number 1 and 2 and both unified multi weight champions and when the fight would gross in exess of 50 billion dollars...until then it is pointless.
