Yes he has. If well managed of course (but that counts for almost everybody I guess). He had an outstanding amateur career. Very well schooled (just like all Cubans). Check the other (new) topic too for some info.
From what I saw (not too much) he definately isn't as cocky as him (Gamboa). Holds his hands up high, picks his spots. Gamboa has a totally different style I guess. But than again, we have to wait and see his first pro fight to be sure(the last big tournament he competed in was a few years ago).
Lara is a pretty good amatuer Welterweight who was the captain of the Cuban Boxing team. He hasn't fought in a while but he is still young at 24 but they should not go as fast as they been going with the other Cubans. He needs to get his feet wet as a pro but he can become a World Champion at welterweight in maybe 3 years.
