Yes he does and would give more trouble to Calzaghe then Lacy did. First he will do his mandatory (vs Hausser, Joppy, Sanavia ect...). Then he should fight a good B level fighter (Andrade, Green, Brahmer, Lacy:-() and then a good A fighter (Inkin, Froch, winner of Pascal-Miranda, Taylor ect...) and then fight Kessler. If Joe is still there then it would be a geat fight to take place.
The judges were leaning toward Golovkin in that fight so Bute risked evrything in the last round and got tagged. It will not happen in a pro fight. That was the only time Bute was on the canvas. And according to him was a humbling experience .
Bute shouldn't be thinking of Calzaghe. He's coming along at the right time in the 168 division. Just when things are starting to heat up. He's a title holder and could more or less (aside from Calzaghe) have his pick of fights. For his next one i'd love to see him fight either Green or Lacy.
Big deal. David Tua was knocked out cold by a single punch in the amatures (from the Cuban Felix Savon). But in the pros he had an iron chin, only down once by a big puncher in Rahman. Ali was stopped in the amatures, too.
Yeah, I agree. If he improves on that defense a lot (which is much more easily said than done)...he should be in with a good chance against anyone at 168, even Mikkel. :think
