Margo has been doing the heavy lifting in the Welterweight division for the last few years now.

Convincing wins over Cintron, gutsy W over Clottey and close, competitive L to Williams give him as good a resume as any serious contender in the WW division (I dont count Shane as a serious contender anymore:| ) - those three plus Margo himself are biggest strongest (natural WW's) and most underrated guys in the division.

Margo's style is more troubled by guys like Quintana and Williams, high output boxers who move, than a Cotto type. I think I might back him to beat Cotto, though theyre my two fave current Welters and i'd prefer either of them to fight Mayweather :yep

Amsterdam got his knickers in a twist because I allowed that prime Tito would probably win a comfortable UD over Margarito.

He became incensed and used terms like idiot and stupid **** and stated that the result would definitely be a KO for Tito.

In fact, his estimate was Tito by 2nd round KO.

Maybe the boy was off his meds.

Trinidad would land about 60% of his power punches on Margarito and absolutely demolish him within 6 rounds. No way on earth Margo would see the 12th round with a puncher like Tito. There is a difference between a heavy puncher like Cintron, and a Heavy SKILLED puncher with speed like Trinidad. what the hell is so hard to understand about this. Trinidad punching ability is so far beyond Cintrons.

In fact when Cotto fights Margarito it teach you guys something about boxing. And thats that technical skilled punching does more damage than lesser skilled heavy punching.

And when you combine the fact that Trinidad was a skilled puncher with absurd power and absurd stamina with speed expecially at 147lbs, it is illogical to think that Margarito a fighter with lack of defense could go 12 rounds with Trinidad a fighter that salivates over fighters that come forward to him..A fighter that power had carried him into the 160lb division.

All of that is very possible. It's just not a certainty.

And I'm fine with most points of view, just so long as they don't have a ****-fit when they encounter mild differences.

 I know what you're saying

I just can't stand it when people can't gauge punching power correctly... Or should I say Punchers* correctly

Its like saying Edison Miranda ripped Pavlik with hardshots and Pavlik didn't get KO'd, thus since Pavlik took heavyshots from Miranda than that must mean that Pavlik could take shots from Nigel Benn!!!! right!?!?:lol::lol::lol:

No obviously not right, as that was already proven by Jermain Taylor who is a much lighter puncher than Miranda but punches with much more technical skill!!

So when people say that Cintron hit Margarito with all he could and couldn't knock him out and so Trinidad couldn't knock him out either...its like

    C'MON!!!!!!!!!

Marg looks good against limited fighters who lack boxing skills. But when he faces someone who can actually box, he loses. He was outboxed by Williams and Clottey (up until he hurt his left hand).

Cotto is going to rip Marg a new one if they fight. Cotto continues to improve his boxing skills and he will be able to outbox him if he chooses or out brawl him. Well, maybe not outbrawl but at least Cotto has the luxury of falling back on his boxing skills if he can't out brawl the guy.

We all know Margarito is a tough guy. But believe me when I say this, Margarito's toughness will be but to the test like it has never been put at before. Because if he can't slow Cotto down hurt him or figure him out, he will be put through a lot of pain in their fight.
