And of course, you think now that I'm considering Martinez as a "threat" because you're a ******, I brought up that fight as an example of what Lewis said DURING THAT FIGHT ABOUT AVENGING LOSSES.

Show me Margarito's serious attempts please, I'll be waiting for a single serious article from you about how they asked for a rematch and WHAT WAS THEIR OFFER. We all know what Paul Williams' offer was and it's all over the internet from almost every single boxing website out there, $4million dollars which was OPENLY turned down and DUCKED. Margarito wanted no part of it and it's a career high pay-day, show me what Margarito's team offered Williams and then we'll be talking. I already dropped you countless links of Williams' offer, I ask you for ONE of Margarito's.

It doesn't matter where Williams is in the ranking, he already beat the best Welterweight out there and wants to do it again but the "best" Welterweight out there would rather make money than avenge losses and think about "pride and legacy" as they promoted him to be, which everyone knew was pure jack**** anyway as it's being exposed right now.

That's one loss he's ducking, what about the other FOUR?, Santos offers him and he ducks him straight away with another pathetic excuse of asking him to move to 147 if "he wants it", isn't it supposed to be the legacy seeking mammoth who would WANT to avenge a loss?, if you have no desire to avenge a loss then why the **** are you here?, money, yes. Of course he also admitted he will move to 154 for DLH, not to avenge a loss?, nah, it means nothing and he knows he has ******s like you behind him that will support the nonsense.

This is going to be thread number 100 where you are sliced to tiny pieces and will resort to insults and name-calling. I would most likely teach you about Margarito's boxing ability more than you already know, which I did in a few of those threads where you got spanked like the fruitcake that you are. :good

elite fighter. i use to think he was just a B guy for having trouble with clottey and a so-so santos. but against guys made for his style, he's extremely hard to beat. i hold him in good light after the cotto fight, considering i picked cotto to beat him. very good B+ for me. A+ would be the durans, whitakers, haglers..... A would be the barrera's, arguellos....... A- would be the tito's, de la hoya's.....

He must be quite good if he comprehensively beat an elite fighter like Cotto, mustn't he?

Cotto's an Elite, A+ class fighter.....maybe my typo confused you though, so i wont jump down your throat, but what i meant to type was

"he's a B class fighter.....any A class fighter his size would do away with him with ease, it wouldn't even be competitive"

he definitely is. i think a lot of us put too much of a premium on a fighters skills/abilities/"flash" and overlook stuff like grit and toughness. i've certainly been guilty of that

Totally agree with this assesment. To outgun a fighter of Miguel Cotto's quality is something to take notice of. Cotto has boxed at the highest levels, amateur and pro, his pedigree is top notch, he's without doubt one of the leading fighters in the sport today. Margarito edged this man, that's something special in my book. I have alot of respect for Miguel Cotto, that reflects my opinon on Antonio Margarito. I've watched him progress over a number of years and he's always impressed me. He has so many exceptional qualities, a complete throw back fighter with an old school work ethic. His last 5 opponents had a record of - W - 148 - L - 9 - D - 3 coming into the fight with Tony, four of these men were very highly ranked fighters. I think that's impressive in anyone's book, shows you the caliber of fighters he takes on, on a consistant basis, i consider him elite.

B to B+ He gets by with his size adavantages over his opponets and that's what makes him tough at 147.

well thats just it....they're aren't any in the welter weight division so he's in luck but look at it like this... if a B to B+ class Paul Williams who's also his size can beat him with not so much as being hurt or dropped....thats pretty much proves my theory right?

basically he's just in the right weight class at the right time.....there aren't any A class fighters his size in 140, 147, or 154 either.......
