how good is margarito's chin? best ever?

Noone's chin will ever be better than LaMotta's period

 

I have never properly seen Jake LaMotta and his granite chin, but what Margarito took from Cotto and then to look completely oblivious - to look completely oblivious - was pretty extraordinary.

It was one of those performances that sort of resonates and sticks in your mind - wishing it could be me kind of performance.

 

yea its good but its also his determination moreso than his chin and his disregard for human life in there.

Margarito's chin is of the highest level, he wouldn't have gotten through the Cotto fight had it not been. No other 147lb fighter today could have taken that many shots. Even with some of them being on the backfoot, they were thrown with bad intentions. A great chin indeed.

Not the best ever though.

Incredible chin, but welter wieght is not light heavy or super middle.
I have to give the edge to Andrade, taking Kessler's (and later Bute's) bombs like they were love taps, for 12 rounds. That to me takes the cake.

Andrade's chin is better than Margos.

The Santos blow wasn't on the chin, it was a temple shot that knocked his equilibrium off.

 

He still took the shot very well and ironically enough, the shot that did the most damage in their second encounter came from Margarito. Santos was doing a little dance curtosey of a Welterweight.
