How good is he really????? Is he an British version of JCC Jr. or Duddy???? Just hype or is he a worthy opponent to be mentioned with legit top tier fighters?? I mean he was once even considered as a $May opponent, even Amir (a proven fighter imo) isnt considered and an possible opponent at this time against $May in this stage in his career. I've seen a bit of mat and dont think he would even be known if it wasnt for his brother.

He's okay/decent, but he's probably barely as good as the likes of Duddy, JCC jr, or comparable at stretch.

Have to say though, he has improved his technique.

Hes a journeyman bum who needed countless bites of the cherry to even reach top domestic and european level.

And he only got those because Ricky bought them for him. Hes a phoney european champ because hes not even the 2nd best welterweight in Britain.

And his fights are so boring they are almost unwatchable. So basically hes a bag of crap

He is none of the poll options.

    He is a good welterweight.

On the one hand, definitely not bad...or even "only fair".

On the other hand, not very good and certainly not great.

    Just good.

Barely world class (or just on the bubble) is the best way to describe him.

Bear in mind that being world class doesn't mean you're necessarily going to be appearing on any top p4p lists. It just means you're good enough to possibly contend for (not even necessarily win; just contend for) one of the alphabet soup world titles. People tend to get the definition quite twisted.

put it like this i wouldnt put money on him beating a washed up junior witter.
kel brook would spark him within 5 rounds no doubt about it.

I'm from the United States and don't think he's any of the above. I think he's undoubtedly improved over the last few years, yet his ceiling is still the same. He has a solid chin, good boxing skills, good body puncher. I don't think he'd beat the top tier of the division but he wouldn't get totally outclassed. I think he is a solid contender, nothing more, nothing less.

I have never seen him fight, and honestly, I don't even know what he looks like...the possibility that he favors his brother is the only thing that might clue me in to who he is if I saw a picture...

...and I call myself a boxing fan...:-(

To my knowledge he hasn't appeared on American TV so unless you've gone the extra mile as an obsessive boxing fan and sought out "ways" of viewing lots of foreign fights (particularly in Britain) you wouldn't have seen him.
