I think he may, I've always vastly overrated Lee though.

Give him some long-term high altitude training to see if he can get better endurance. He has powerful punches which he delivers with speed and accuracy but stops to admire his work and catch his breath. He probably realizes he must make a statement against Lee. It is now or never. I think he crushes Lee.

    Are you serious?
There's probably 3 or 4 domestic middles in these islands alone that I would pick over Andy...and while I haven't seen much of Korobov, probably over him too.

Winner here is just keeping the title warm for BJS!

Thing about lee is he has tremendous mental strength but he has to be in the twilight of his career. Korobov is older but less miles on the clock. Anything goes I reckon but one thing is for sure- it will be entertaining.

I think his stamina problem is overstated certainly in recent years. He stopped Edwards in 9 and showing no issues and took maybe two rounds off against Uzcategui in the middle of the fight but rounds 7-10 he was fine.

Yes and no. Korobov literally ran into the punch while trying to finish Edwards (Pac/JMM IV style) which was as good of a right hand as Edwards could throw. It hurt Korobov bad and he did did a very nice wobble but still managed to stay on his feet yet Edwards left SMW Badou Jack face first from a far less solid punch.

The stamina problem is probably psychological - otherwise, they would have found a medical cure for it by now. He seems to be very tense in the ring. I think he's too much of a counterpuncher for his own good and the wait between punches tires him out more than it should. He should let his hands go more and take more risks. I'd like to see him against Golovkin - maybe after he gets knocked out, his psychological problem (fear of losing) will go away and he can fight more relaxed.

It's an odd kinda stamina problem, to be sure. He often looks fine in later rounds - it's more like he just seems to inexplicably take rounds off in the middle.

He also sometimes seems to let his opponent off the hook just at the point you think he should be looking for the kill (Uzcategui and Brewer) though perhaps the near catastrophe in the Edwards fight provides some explaination for this.

I don't know - Matvey's clearly talented but also apparently flawed in a way that seems quite unpredictable. Sometimes I think he could be #2 or #3 in the division, other times I wonder if he belongs in the top 10.

He should beat Andy Lee, but beyond that? Who knows.:-(
