How many times has the ref had to stop/ breakup a floyd clinch?!!!! How many times has the ref tooken points away from floyd for "shoving" his elbow in his opponents face? lmao...when you answer those two questions maybe ill stop laughing at your thread........ p.s There is a difference when you hold your glove up to your head ear level and lift your elbow to avoid the OVER-THE-TOP and back of the head punches that fighters do in close range(mostly when trying to clinch floyd) . Thats what floyd does(great defense)and it saves a lot of unnescesary and out of sight damage that a fighter doesnt need.
Hatton is very quick at coming in and from weird angles. He kind of gets in and out quickly and doesnt stay still for long. This is a very intriguing match up. I think its going to be a great fight
He holds on the inside, a blind man can see that. . . he also throws that elbow to the face - been warned many times for it. You can act like Im making this up but its plain to see.
Runner?????????? HMMM i think you would call a high school student in cross country a runner not floyd:-( . The purpose of boxing is to hit -and not get hit. I dont think a "runner" could become a champ in 5 different weight classes, maybe in soccer or something or a marathon. Put it this way................why dont you walk down to your local gym and imitate what floyd does, and see where it gets you.. No disrespect tho.
ok bro what fight have you watched? If he did hold it was to protect his self in that moment. not to hold and try and bully someone. But rarely he holds, maybe you make a point with the elbow scenario but i think when it is uses it, he uses it as a instrament to block the opponents vision so he wont get hit with a blindsided shot. Not to intentionally ELBOW someone. Ya know?
well Tszyu aquiesed to Hattons in fighting. Tszyu fought the silliest strategic fight known to man. look at the Collazo fight. he was able to keep Hatton at a distance at time.
he's smart when he breaks the rules I give him that much, he'll hold until the ref warns him then he ease up for a while. He'll use that elbow, doesnt thros it like an MMA move but he does press it in the face of the opponant - still illegal. . and he also eases up when warned. Another thing he likes to di is hold until he's ready to punch and release just as he starts to punch - not sure if its technically illegal or not.
Mayweather is very good in close. Very good. Remember Mayweather is a very good counterpuncher, so it doesn't matter what the distance is for a counter puncher, just ask Oscar.
Floyd is not the best inside fighter, not even close. Man, some of you Fraud Groupies are challenginf pacsexuals for idiot supremacy.
they can both fight on the inside, although if this fight is fought at close range against the ropes I favour Hatton. Floyd should geton his bike and avoid furious exchanges, he's facing a very strong, determined and dangerous opponent and thats the best way to neutralizing him. That being said, Floyd is so naturally gifted and versatile that you can make a case for him winning at close-range, mid-range or on the outside. We know what Hatton's gonna do, which is get in close and be brutal, its how Floyd chooses to cope with it that makes the fight.
:good Think of all the GREAT fighters who were just as good at breaking the rules. Roy commended him on the elbow move (in the Bruseless fight), didn't put him down for it. Great boxers bend the rules in smart ways. They don't throw low blows, rabbit punches and bite.
I know, I just wish the rules were more strictly enforced in boxing. . . holding, clenching, elbows etc. . . and running should be against the rules.
