they would have to adapt or change sports, Hatton can be a greco roman wrestler and Fraud can run the 500 meter.
A 12 round fight is 36 minutes... How far you reckon Floyd can run in 36 minutes? DEFINATELY further than 500 metres.
Floyd is extremely good defensively on the inside, but sometimes the shoulder role prevents him from mounting a good attack when facing an opponent with a very active offense. Reason being, that your using your arms to block shots, tkaing away your ability to punch back whilst getting hit. Hatton is the better fighter on the inside, and is VERY under rated in this regard. Watch how he will switch up his stance, square up to work angles, use lateral movement, combinations and holding effectively to his advantage. Hatton is EXTREMELY effective from this position, and one of the best in boxing on the inside. Floyd will no doubt utilise movement and angles though to prevent this from happening.
"well Tszyu aquiesed to Hattons in fighting. Tszyu fought the silliest strategic fight known to man. look at the Collazo fight. he was able to keep Hatton at a distance at time." Exactly. In fact, after the fight the commentator asked Tszyu if they had trained to fight Hatton on the inside and Tszyu said 'No. But I thought if he wants to fight me like this, let's fight like this." It was stupid, simply put. Arrogance and ring rust beat Tszyu as much as anything. Tszyu's corner was telling him from the start to stop fighting him on the inside. Lewis kept saying to him 'Keep him off you with a stiff jab mate, then throw the right more. You gotta throw the right more Kos'. But Tszyu's ego didn't let him until he suddenly realised he was getting tired. He switched his strategy too late, but those middle rounds when he suddenly realised he was getting tired, he was able to keep Hatton at bay (five and six) and had his best rounds. I actually thought he was slowly but surely taking over to be honest and that he'd figured Hatton out. He just wasn't able to maintain it though and the big right hand was missing. Completely ran out of stamina. Couldn't keep Hatton off and just faded more and more round after round. When I look at the middle rounds of the Tszyu fight and the Collazo fight, I can't see Hatton beating Mayweather. But determination is a factor you simply can't overlook. I do think Hatton will give his everything to get inside and rough up Mayweather. He'll lead with his head, use elbows, low-blows and whatever else it takes to shake the guy up. He can't win any other way. Whether it works? Don't know. It's all speculation and all I want is a good fight.
