Because if he plans on fighting Floyd, he obviously can't outbox him...

And while he has fast hands and excellent combinations, if he can't catch Floyd, he can't hit Floyd...

This fight could potentially be a one sided shut out in favor of Mayweather...

Hmm... I don't think that Mayweather would let himself be trapped on the corner of the ring but I bet he'll use the ropes a lot.

But at the same time, when Mayweather wanted to get away from Mosley he made it look easy.

The only time Mosley was in range was in the 1st and 2nd round when Mayweather appeared to be sleepwalking, and when Mayweather decided to be the aggressor.

This nonsense about him not having his legs is just that...

In my opinion Mayweather looked better and more elusive than ever.

he chased Cotto around for a bit but then again Cotto was entirely disengaged from fighting him at that point.he was seriously moving to stay the **** away from Manny and he couldn't exactly cut him off to finish him.

Even if he's not the best to cut off the ring, his foot speed compensates for the most part.

That's certainly a possibility. Pacquiao would have to swarm mayweather.

I'm not so sure that this would necessarily work either though.

I think he has to use angles, and try to use a similiar gameplan that he used against DLH.

Mayweather is probably the stronger man, and he's a very accurate and underrated puncher.

I believe when Mosley hit him, it pressed a little red button in Floyd's head that made him commit to his punches more, and I think he managed to sting Mosley who's regarded as having a solid chin.

If Pac stand right in front of Mayweather can tie him up.

However, Pac's speed may negate Mayweather's ability to do this.

But I think it comes down to, will Pac even be in position to swarm Mayweather in the firstplace?

Don't forget that Mosley looked weak after the 5th round. He gassed out. I'm trying to discredit Mayweather or anything. Mosley was very flat footed during the fight.

And yes the only reason that Mayweather got hit was because he tried to be the aggressor.

watch the Clottey and Cotto fights in which Manny was pivoting very nicely off to the right after getting off his shots, once he finished pivoting off to the right he would fire again he has really improved on his foot work.
And I am in the minority I think he will hit Floyd more than Floyd has ever been hit, Manny has hand speed, power in both hands and he is a south paw with a very high work rate, Floyd vs Manny is a fight cant pick a winner but I still lean towards Pacquiao

I see his foot speed bothering $ for 3-4 rounds. He's not going to outdance Floyd. PBF can box on the outside, box off the backfoot, fight in the pocket, do inside fighting, etc. Mayweather will clinch and use his elbows too.

A great jab and timing will cut down speed.

Manny has much less reach than Floyd, his jab is no where near the level of $'s jab, and he likes to use his timing to get into mid range. Floyd's been playing counter-puncher for a very long time, so he has better timing.

Mosley wasn't able to manhandle Floyd in the clinches, so that shows how physically strong Floyd is. Pacquiao happens to be the smallest of the welterweights.

his footwork has improved tremendously over the years, however he has some problems finishing off cotto, when cotto was running away. in fact he looked frustrated.

Pac won't have to chase Floyd. His hand speed and combinations are as good as they will ever get. I think people will be surprised at how often Pac can find Floyd.

Now I know Cotto is not the best defensive fighter in the world but the way Pac found him was sublime. Nobody would do that to Cotto except maybe Floyd

    That's something to think about.
