This is true , and the guys he flattened are not chumps , since then though he hasn't lit the world alight , i suppose after that how could he , unless he won all his fights by KO / TKO , i think the point I'm trying to make is , during PF he looked like he could be a major force , since then he's looked like exactly what he is .................. a solid young pro still learning his craft , who's progressing nicely The SMW division by domestic standards is " stacked " , we'll see someday soon where Rocky is , side note ; id like to see him change promotion company too
He's another one who seems frustrated with Frank. Was tweeting loads recently about needing fights and being fed up with training without any fights being scheduled. He has got a big following for a novice as well. The Scouse Buglioni.
Yes on the floor i never got to see anything what I would expect to see, very very poor seats you miss nothing in the echo including the fighters at ringside and even the fights I struggled to see which left me heading to the bar eary on, hope you enjoyed the city
british european level his he needs to be more active which is fwranks fault id put him in with jaffa be a good fight for both boxers imo
From someone who knows him personally he didnt turn down the Blackledge fight. He apprantley got told by ****** that Blackledge would be is next fight, but it never materialised he was left without an opponant until basically days before fight. I was looking forward to watching him fight for his first pro title. But I heard that the Blackledge fight will be made and it will be in Liverpool. Be interesting to see how Blackledge gets on against Laursen
Tony Bellew told me at an amature show last year that Rocky would never make it cause he has no heart? He said he's good skills but hes bottle goes? Any truth?
It's difficult to see how a guy who accepts a substitute place in a prizefighter tournament on 5 days notice can be seen as having no bottle, especially if the guy had only had 3 fights and the prizefighter card included a former world champ. Seems to me he's an encouraging prospect with a good range of skills, who has suffered from his promotional team not getting him fights.
SoF , I Co-Promoted the show and can confirm the fight was agreed between Rocky and Luke for the CA title , Rocky had been training 8 weeks for a contest and Luke took it with around 2 weeks notice. Rocky pulled out because his dad did not want him to fight Luke who had been active , both Rocky and his trainer were happy with the contest. Luke then took another opportunity and fought Larsen in Denmark , pulling off a great win which was against the odds . Another fight between these 2 has not been discussed since ,but it will have to suit Luke now and not Rocky as we were let down the first time and since then climbed the rankings . STEVE WOOD PS - If and when it does happen it will be a great 50-50 fight !!!
Its always good getting the info if not from the horse at least a horse in the same stable, Im enjoying following Rocky and hope (work permits) to get to his next fight
