I just re watched the PBF vs ODH and the only thing I could hear roger saying in the corner was "beat his ass he ain't doing anything beat his ass" now is it just me but that doesn't sound like the most constructive advice he could be giving out. Is he a good trainer or does floyd do it all himself. Also if he is crap who would be better for floyd and would it make a difference.
He was a better fighter than a trainer. But after JCC mauled him..it kinda showed that he never was elite either.
roger definitely knows his ****...he gets delusional @ times b/c his last name is mayweather but he is a great trainer (@ least for his nephew). and trust me as much **** as those 2 (roger & floyd jr.) talk they don't broadcast everything, they go into fights with a solid game plan imo. on top of that they are masters @ adapting don't know if its floyd jr. skills or rogers doing but they are a great pair.
yeah all he seems to say in the corner is something like" he aint got **** on you" or "beat his damn ass", he must know his **** but he and floyd snr are both uneducated crack heads
He doesnt have to give Floyd much advice because the gameplan is set pre-fight. Him and Floyd already know whats going to happen. Such as walking Judah down, or potshotting HAtton as he came in. Watch out for trainers who are constantly givin knew instructions between rounds. Means their gameplan aint working
How good is Roger Mayweather? If he were training Hatton, Hatton still gets KTFO. But he wouldn't have been late because of Taco Bell.
Both Roger and Floyd, Sr. are ridiculously overrated as trainers because they work with one of the best fighters of this generation. Who else has either guy developed that is any good? Or taken over and had much success with even?
Floyd Sr seems to have helped Dawson and taught him a bit, while he was with him. When he was with Oscar, he added new dimensions to his game. Due to Floyd Sr Oscar completely, imo, outboxed Mosley, with Mosley on roids. He should've won that.
