Fight against Castillejo was impressive but.. Against Asikainen? Sylvester got knocked down in first round and referee helped him up. He was also badly hurt in 4th round but survived. We was fading on points 59-55 after 6 rounds on every scorecard. It was 7th round which turned the fight around: Sylvester neckpunched Asikainen with a brutal affect and Asikainen was never same and got stopped in 11th round. And referee gave no time to recover for Asikainen. And that first round knockdown was a joke when referee lift Sylvester up. It wasn't impressive victory, it was more like a gift victory. Sylvester was very lucky cause he was getting schooled before that neckpunch. Sadly Asikainen was never same again after this fight. He looked f*cking brillant before getting hit by a neckpunch.. I hate these german commentators.. always making excuses for the hometown fighters if something like this happens: 'Yeah, it was a rabbit punch, but it wasn't that hard.. Asikainen is totally exaggerating here...' Yeah, like it was Asikainen doing soemthing wrong here...
He looked good against Sturm? Well, imo he lost about every single round against Sturm. You could really see the difference in class. Sturm schooled him for large parts of the fight.
Silvester has been a decent beltholder at best. Clearly not capable enough to hang in there with the top guys at MW.
It was a jabfest in which of course Strum had the upper hand and won widely but both had some nice moments when they threw combinations.. Sylvester is very limited he can only box from the distance but hes quite good doing the things he does.. his major problem however is that hes just a fool. he refused to throw his right hand against Geale, basically gifted him his belt.. tried to outjab Sturm who has one of the most dominant jabs in the sport etc..
No disrispect for Sylvester.. Asikainen-Sylvester 1 last rounds [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E13ELH3Rijk[/ame]
