How good is Sergei Kharitonov? And does he have a chance in the tournament?

I really want Fedor to win, but sadly I think it's Overeem's time. Barnett could shock Reem in the final though. That's not a walkover by any means.

He probably won't win the tournament, but there is a pretty high chance that he will knock out Arlovski.

This tournament is the creme de la creme of non UFC fighters. Don't forget Serge has beaten Werdum, is 1-1 with Reem and I think he and Fedor have sparred.

Boxing/Sambo background isn't going to do you wrong. With 8 ko's and 8 subs in 17 wins, Serge could be a threat.

Im more interested in seeing what big Buck Rogda's brining to the table. I dont care what any nuthuggers say he gave Fedor a lot of trouble. So long as he's not fighting Reem he's a threat

Rogers doesn't have a lot to offer Barnett.

I don't know, Barnett isnt THAT great standing and Brett does have alot of power. I expect Josh to win but I won't be supprized if he takes a fair bit of punishment first as in the Aleks fight.

As far as Sergei goes alot of it comes down to his physical condiction I'd say, ever since Overeem injuried him in the first fight he's not looked 100% then he put on alot of weight in the year long layoff after the second fight and looked very half assed vs Monson. He's looked in better shape recently but is still carrying a fair bit more fat than he did in the past.

He does seem to have changed his striking style a far bit aswell, not as quick on his feet or as technical with his boxing as he used to be, much more direct and aggresive using more knees and kicks. That could go either way, I 'd say he's easier to hit these days but I do think he could have benefited from being more direct in the past rather than looking for the perfect combo.

I think it would be a huge upset if sergei beat barnett, overeem or fedor a huge upset actually for me.

sergei has some good skills in the striking department being his #1 strength, but he is not as good as he used to be in his pride days and even then would be the underdog at beating Fedor and Barnett, the Supereem of today if he existed in the pride days, would also probably have been the favourite.

Barnett takes him down and dominates fedor aggressiveness will be too much for sergei, overeem wipes him out standing not a bad opponent for them though.

I bet Kharitonov beats Arlovski though.

That was a long time ago. I wouldn't expect Sergei to beat the current version of Werdum. Sergei has the fighting IQ of a rock.

He has a punchers chance and thats pretty much it. Im expecting Barnett to take it to the ground quickly and knee bar him in under a minute.

At one time Kharitonov was a beast! If his conditioning is right - he could very well KO anyone in the tournament.
