I`ll be rooting for Fedor in this tourney, he has looked `off` in his last 3 fights - 1 of which he actually lost - but here`s hoping the GMMAOAT makes a devastating comeback (even tho Nogueira is actually my all time fav HW)
Well he really has devastating hands. Power in both hands and mixes up his punches very well. He also has a very hard head. So basically I'd say he's a big danger for any fighter out there when he's standing. I'm not familiar with his ground game.
So let me get it right- Its Fedor vs A. Silva Overeem Vs Fabricio Werdum Kharitov vs Arvloski Barnett vs Rogers Im going to via these results Fedor knockout round 2 over A. Silva Overeem knockout round 1 over Werdum Kharitov knockout round 1 over Arvloski Barnet subs (armlock) round 3 Rogers Fedor decisions Overeem Barnett knockouts Kharitov round 2 Fedor submits Barnett via choke
That is a tough draw for Arlovski...although, there really isn't a draw there that isn't tough for someone with his chin (and that is said with all due respect and best wishes for Andrei).
Back in PRIDE he was a very good fighter. Mixed boxing with sambo very well. Has power in both hands and was tough as nails. Unfortunately for him, back injuries starting from around the Werdum fight (I think) have seriously hampered his career. Not as good as he once was. Still has enough to knock out Arlovski I think.
He is very inconsistent, but he has a lot of talent. Him being on the weaker side of the bracket means he could conceivably win it, but he is not the favorite, clearly. He has good inside leg kicks, very good hands, a very good top game, and a passable bottom game.
in November he fought under K-1 rules an Indian kickboxer named Singh Jaideep and lost by TKO looking horrible, gassing early on New Year's Eve he fought a Japanese journeyman Tatsuya Mizuno coming up from light heavyweight and knocked him out in a minute
