they guy has got to rank higher p4p than silva now surely...

just look at his last 3 wins fitch/penn and alves he outclassed and dominated 3 fighters who would be in there own rights without the presence of st pierre the top 3 welterweights or thereabouts in the world.

then compare that with silvas last 3!

his resume far surpasses silvas, and IMO he is a more complete fighter.

    MY TOP 5 P4P:

    FEDOR
    GSP
    SILVA
    MACHIDA
    HENDERSON

I'm a huge fan of GSP and yeah, he's got to be up there, probably above Silva. He was beating Alves on the feet with his jab and combinations when he wasn't taking him down, and his resume recently has been better.

Still, I think head to head Silva would be a HUGE problem for GSP. Too long and accurate.

I thought GSP has been ahead of Silva P4P for while now.:conf

Also how does a win over Bisping catapult Hendo into the top 5 P4P?

last 3 vs last 3 - there's absolutely no comparison

still think anderson's just taking the **** at the moment - bored with no end of guys who stand no chance whatsover - if he was challeneged the way gsp has been - like when he got a Henderson or Franklin - he upped his game and dominated with ease

both guys are pretty even to me, but i also rank GSP higher based on level of opposition

    Fedor
    GSP
    Silva
    Machida
    Penn

I expect we will see the silva v gsp fight now then.

Odd matchup, but interesting no doubt, the welterweight king vs a man trying to forge a path in the 205 bracket,i have to favour silva hes just to big but if st pierre's technique is as good as it appears then in no way am i counting him out

    50/40 in favour of silva.

id say it was more like 70/30 in favour of silva

being a GSP fan it's not a fight i'm really wanting to see (tho being a MMA fan it's not i fight i want to miss)

just think, if GSP sprung the upset, Big Daddy Machida would be out for revenge :fire

your right, its a money spinner and one not to miss..

it will be touted as the fight for the p4p crown or some **** like that by old uncle fester (aka mr white) it would be some feat if st pierre pulled it of but again i think its a step to far on size and size alone, though st pierre having cleaned out his division will no doubt make the step up to 185 at some point, should be very interesting.

Meh. P4P lists have always been subjective anyways, I suppose. Although personally I would have Miguel Torres occupying the 5th spot. Maybe even 4th.

He's the most skillful fighter in MMA today, bar none. His only weakness was mental, his strength is that he knows it and is working at it. The only reason he is behind Fedor in my book is because of those loses caused by mental weakness.

I find GSP pretty boring now, but that's only because there's just no way I ever think he's in the slightest bit of trouble.

If we aren't including heavies, gsp is the best p4p fighter in the world.

And what's the other 10% suppose to be? A draw? Not to nicpick but it really should add up to a hundred percent. Personally I'd favour Silva by about 55/45 or 60/40 in that range. But on a p4p basis, they're pretty close, and I think an agrument can be made for either fighter.

He is simply the best in the world IMO. An MMA genius.

    My top 5 would be.

    GSP
    FEDOR
    SILVA
    MACHIDA
    EVANS

Discussed this at work today with two pro Silva guys. I can't see their argument at all.
