How did Porter duck Ugas when they already fought?

Terrence Crawford is a product of favorable match making. And I refuse to believe anything different until he proves otherwise.

I heard this about Crawford prior to him coming across to fight Ricky Burns - better than Mayweather, generational talent, bad intentions, mean dude etc etc.

Considering how Burns was damaged goods after his broken jaw from Beltran AND on the slide (he got lucky against Jose Gonzalez), I was expecting Crawford to wipe the floor with Burns and KO him by the middle rounds.

Crawford looked good on his way to a UD, but not really much more than that IMO, certainly not enough for all the P4P #1 talk in my book. I was pretty disappointed tbh, reckon that would have been a MUCH closer affair with a prime Burns.

And the reason I'm using Burns as a barometer, is Ricky would be the first to acknowldege that he probably wildly overachieved in boxing based on his actual talent (hard work and dedication)

Crawford's problem is he has no signature 'Elite' level wins to really back up his argument.

Indongo? Horn? A shot Kahan and a shot Brook?

    Not a great resume.

Sucks for Crawford, but he needs Spence more than the other way round IMO

Spence don't duck! Crawford is ducking Spence! He said he's not fighting Spence, and even if it's 50/50 split! That's what u call ducking!

Well we could start with Spence
You seem to forget "let the fight marinate" or "he's on the other side of the street" or "I deserve and 70/30 or 80/20 split." All came from Spence. Or that Danny Garcia turned down 3 million to fight Crawford. Or that Porter turned down 2 million to fight Crawford." Or Mikey Garcia who was at 135 lbs for two years and would not fight Crawford at 140 (But he went to 147 to fight Spence.

Porter looked silly against Ugas. Most people had Porter losing to Ugas. Porter said he had zero interest in an Ugas rematch.

    Thus, Porter ducked Ugas.

Uhhh clearly you don't know how boxing works. It's called A side and B side. Spence is the A side, so he gets the biggest purse because he's unified champ, ppv star and the bigger drawer! Spence said 60/40, and that's been generous. Stop making up numbers. Arum only offered Porter and Thurman 1 mil. Pricing yourself out is a duck too. Other side of the street is what it is. PBC and Top Rank is what he was speaking on. Mikey Garcia wants to fight Crawford to this day, but will not while he's with Top Rank. Nobody like working with Bob Arum. Mayweather and Mikey told Crawford to leave Arum. Pac just said the reason why him and Spence is fighting is because of good business. He said Crawford fight fell through because of bad business with Top Rank!

Stop making excuses for Brook, he got stopped and it's as simple as that. Brook got buzzed by that right jab because it was more like a straight right hand . Crawford is right handed. After that, he got beat down. Brook can fight, he was good against GGG and Spence but doing good and winning are two different things.

I was NOT making excuses for Brook, merely saying he was DONE and had no business in the ring at that level. If you can't see how Brook panicked when tagged I don't know what to say. He was damaged goods after GGG, then doubly so after Spence.

Not to mention the weight yo-yoing. Khan and Brook are not great wins for Crawford.

There you go making excuses for him again, he was deemed fit and ready to fight. Ray Lenard fought and beat Hagler with a repaired detached retina. Spence didn't damage the eye that was repaired, it was the so called good eye. That means that the repaired eye was in better shape than the good eye. If Khan and Brook were not good wins for Crawford then they were not good wins for any fighter. The fact remains that nobody wants that Crawford smoke.

    Reading comprehension FTW.

No excuses for Brook, it's just a win I don't rate very highly. No one was picking Brook to do jack **** before the fight and most were criticisng Bud for taking a shot fighter.

This win holds the same amount of value in resume as Joe Calzaghe's over Roy Jones Jnr. Nada.
