Only seen a couple of his fights.. Doesn't have a great resume but is this Hooker guy (his next opponent) any good? Do you rate Flanagan?
Turbo was our best lightweight better than Luke Campbell, He may of lost to Linares but it wouldnt of been a shutout by any means, he would beat Easter, Commey, Shafikov etc . Fast Hands, Extremely High output, Very High workrate, Good Chin, and decent pop in his punches despite his low KO percentage. I think he will lose to Josh Taylor at 140lbs though, but would beat alot of the other top 10 140lbers. Hes a top operator and will rise to the occasion when the big fight comes, but he does fail to catch the eye sometimes. I have him stopping Hooker when they fight, late stoppage.
From what I've seen.. Seems to have a good engine, solid defense, an athletic rangy southpaw, seems to do everything well but not outstanding in any one department. About right? Won't be an easy night for many I suspect. Not sure about beating Luke though as he's improving & maturing lately... Linares, Perez, Matthews.. Good fight tho..
Zepeda is a good fighter, probably the most talented fighter flanagan fought and if given another chance will probably be a top 3 lw, terry dislocated his shoulder with a left hand.
He's pretty decent, better than Hooker and will win that one. However he's not on the same level as the very best of the division, I'd pick Luke Campbell or Josh Taylor to beat him. Remember, he had the chance to fight either Mikey Garcia or Lomachenko at 135 but decided to pick up a weak belt at the weight above instead. Seems he is not interested in the WBSS either.
Whats that coming over the hill is it a turbo? is it a turbo? We don't know how good he is as he hasn't had that elite fight yet, but he seems to tick a lot of boxes weather he can perform at the elite level is yet to be seen.
See post #8 for Flanagan. Hooker is awful, he doesn't have a shot. Flanagan is better all round and it's in the UK.
Terry Flanagan... a name surely better suited to a pub singer who does Michael Bolton covers in an unbuttoned shirt wearing a cheap gold medallion over a sunbed tan. As for the fighter, just another Josh Warrington-like buzzsaw boxer. Not a fan...
He's a good fighter but there's questions to be asked..he's going to be in with fighters who are as big as him now and he needs a testing fight there's plenty of guys at 140 where you'd be like that's a damn good fight!.warren better get his dorsal out his ass.
hmm bensub, we usually support the same fighters, i think terry would have beat most of the lw belt holders, but not linares, now not lomachenko obviously. at 140lbs taylor is the man for the brits, he is going to beat everyone there if crawford goes up and stays up then you have prograis who looks pretty dangerous. terry is good enough to be a top 5 lww, not a strong division.
