Four-time world champ VIC will take on King Kong Saturdays in his quest to become a three-division world champion.

Darchinyan, who proved his dominance in the 115-pound division with dominating victories over Christian Mijares and Jorge Arce had a lot to say about Saturdays fight and his boxing future.

Saturdays world title fight will be Darchinyan’s first scrap at 118 pounds.

If he wins...how good is he?

If he wins who will he fight at 122?

What current P4P rank will he have should he win?

IF he wins, and I'm not so confident of this, it'll mean he beat 4 champs in a row, captured a 3rd division world title becoming a 5-time world champion and the #5 P4P-er. Very close to HOF, and the career is not over yet, also his past opposition can make him look even better.

But let's just wait and see.

Vic wont move much in the P4P rankings. He may go as high as #6. He may not move at all.

If he wins, he is very good. In fact he is already very good.

I know he talks about moving up again, but I don't know about that. He has some work he can accomplish at 118. But it may be the idea of becoming a 4 weight division champ appeals to him. It's the kind of thing that would cement his legacy. So he may take on whichever beltholder at 122 who his promoter thinks is most stylistically suited to him.

He has mentioned Lopez before, hasn't he?

Yes...however I would like to see him fight Montiel before going up...thats if he wins this fight.

I think hes also talking Marquez.

The Marquez fight looks the likeliest option if he decides to keep moving up..Both are promoted by Shaw, both fight on Showtime and seems like the best money fight outside of Izzy or Donaire. Plus if Izzy continues to fight it doesnt sound like it will be at 122.
I wouldnt be surprised if Yohnny Perez gets a start aswell..but thats less likely IMO. He is also a Shaw fighter Im pretty sure.

Lets face it Hasegawa wont come out of Japan to fight him...and its unlikely Vic will go there. So I think there is really no point him staying there unless Nonito comes up and a fight can be made that way.

If he loses..then back down to superfly and defend the undisputed crown against Donaire.

Very. Always wants the biggest challenges and is exciting to watch. That said, he'll never get the credit he deserves for it until he takes a rematch with and beats Donaire.

What people have to look at is that Vic was exposed by Nonito..so Vic dusted himself down ok some people don't like him and he still doesn't accept the loss well but he's changed his mindset he's now patient and shows a lot more skills and thought then he used. That to me makes him a very good fighter as for p4p rank i would say if he wins tonight he must be between places of 8-10.

He's near HOF status he needs maybe one or to names to cement his legacy....sometimes these little guys get overlooked but he can become a 3 weight world champ that's enough for me. I think he's going to win tonight and i see him going down as one of the most underatted guys in recent years and when we look back we will think ''damn that guy was good''

Actually looking at the ring p4p ratings i'm going to say if he wins tonight he should go to 6 or at the least 7.

Valid point, but Donaire hasn't done much since beating Vic. The momentum from that victory has been lost. I'm not so sure Donaire wants a piece of Vic now!

:goodI completely agree. All he's done is since is gain kudos for the victory over someone who has done a lot than him since he lost.

i'm right with you, especially on the HOF stuff. though i'd have him about #6 P4P but that's splitting hairs. how ring can justify putting someone in the top 10 just for beating STEVE ****ING MOLITOR but not vic who snagged a belt, destroyed a p4p entrant, and brutalized arce in back to back fights is just ****ing ridiculous.

viC is a true p4p fighter that is good enought to KTFO of vasq soon after hes done with kong.

  13. Vics really good, he needs the rematch with donaire tho and i do not think thats tonights fight is a for gone cloncusion i believe that it will be a real tear up. But hows this would Darchinyan ever of been able to cope with Johnny Tapia [THE GREATEST 115lb FIGHTER OF ALL TIME]. Now that wouldn't even be hard a one to call.........IMO Tapia would of schooled him and i mean that. He were ****ing awesome to watch at 115lbs.:rasta
