    Lew was a southpaw with a very good punch. He could have won the title pre or post Benny Leonard.

    Definitely an all-time great and perhaps even one of the top 10 greatest to never win a world title. He was outstanding.

    Not an all time great fighter, but a great one is what I would say. Tendler vs Leonard is on flim by the way.

    Lew Tendler was certainly one of the greatest southpaws ever...Could have been a lightweight champion most any other time..Lew could hit, box ,take a punch and was rugged...
