I respect Fury's skills, but I have not seen him with top opposition. His resume leaves a lot to be desired featuring a bunch of no-hopers. His notable scalp (ironic because of the violent connotations associated with that word) include a glorified light touching sparring contest with a man approaching middle age. Other secondary victories include a boxer with a huge punch, but a man who does not have even an elementary grasp of technique. And how could we forget (actually I take that back, how could we remember) a completely uninspiring and mediocre fighter named Whyte.

Anthony Joshua is a legitimate test for any Heavyweight. Notwithstanding his loss to Ruiz, though he easily avenged that loss giving credence to the belief that he wins that fight 99 times out of 100.

ZZZZZZZ. Same can be said of the dude you guys try to use as a stick to beat him with, then, because, outside of the walls of BF24, Briedis and Mike Hunter ain't no elites and never have been.

Irrelevant to the thread, besides. We're talking about a facet of a man's multi-faceted game.

Corporate boxing media is allergic to any fighter who isnt Mexican, Anglo or African American. So spare me at least this Briedis slander. They are very relectucant to give a fighter like Briedis his due.

I'm not corporate boxing media, and I say there's a reason the industry and fanbase outside of BF24 doesn't just cream its pants at the mention of his name. He's a solid, creditable name (or best guy at the weight for a spell after Usyk's abdication), not some monster.

Ever wonder why, if he was as bad a man as you all say, he hasn't made the move to heavy yet, as old as he is? His fans have been dining out on that Charr win for time, but still Briedis stays sub-201. It's not as if he doesn't like money, guy was prostituting himself for Jake frickin' Paul, Christsake.

If Fury can KO Whyte, he can KO AJ. Both have glass jaws.

From my perspective it's a step in the right direction for Fury. First, he has to pass the AJ test, then if he can graduate and complete that relatively basic course, but still a massive step up from his previous education then he can go on and seek a PhD against Usyk and receive a true lesson in the sweet science.

He's pretty bad on the inside, head is up super high and his punches are too long. He looks lost there, but he did find that uppercut vs. Klitschko so he's not completely terrible, even though that was in an exchange and Wlad is also a giant so it makes inside punching easier.
