How Good was A Prime Riddick Bowe and how would he have done against vitali and wlad

The current version of Wlad is timid, yes. But he is 10x better than you and most his detractors give him credit for. He throws his limited arsenal as good as anyone. And he is not easily taken off of his overall gameplan. Yes, I realize that he tends to jump straight back at any offense. But, once the danger has passed, he gets right back into his rhythym. I think given Riddick's tendencies, this might disturb him to the point that he loses focus.

 

I tend to disagree simply because of his level of opposition and the way he beats them...underwhelming on both fronts.

Does Wlad not KO the vast majority of his opponents?....I said I'd pick Bowe. I just think the tendency to say Wlad couldn't compete with ..... or...... is garbage.

 

I have found another point on which we agree:good

 

if either klitschko were beating world beaters convincingly, or at least absolutely destroying lower caliber opposition quickly and decisively, I would say wlad has the chance of employing his current fighting style(because simply put, it's all he has) against bowe for a full fight. I think vitali's chin and toughness would make for a good fight with bowe, and no absolute blowout on either side. I lean toward bowe in that one as well...too versatile.

 

call it garbage all you want but I truly believe that regardless. he may be able to compete for a good amount of the fight but bowe had too many skills, too strong a chin(meaning he could take wlad's shot), the size and heart to not be denied. the samuel peter fight is the only truly high intensity(coming from his opponent) bout that wlad has won, and he's honestly a caveman compared to bowe in his prime, a clubbing caveman. there's no way bowe slips into survival mode because of wlad's sledgehammer jab and the perceived impossibility of getting to him, and when I couple that mental toughness with the will and skill I mentioned above, I just don't see it turning out well for wladimir. vitali's another story.

Fair enough. Not sure how you fooled me into arguing the case for Wlad when my first post said I'd pick Bowe

I can't pick a winner in that one. I'd say Bowe is easily more skilled. But there's some intangible about Vitali that makes it hard to bet against him(for me anyway, that is)

 

Pretty much how I see it as well.

Bowe - Vitali would be an amazing fight.

 

I think it's because you don't think I give him enough credit and maybe you felt compelled to make some type of case for him.
