He was good, but not that good imho... Still good enough to beat fighters like Gatti, Corrales (yeah I know he lost, but imho, around same caliber), Ward, Castillo, etc. on a good night. But around the same level I'd say...

Yeah, good, but not that good. That pretty much sums it up. A B level fighter. Decent, but not spectacular.

I liked him because he made for good TV fights. I never remember him being in a stinker that I saw... :good

Good fighter maybe a little better than he's getting credit for in this thread but if so not by THAT much. I remember after beating Gatti there were talks of him fighting Hamed at at 130 lbs which I think would have been interesting. Naz was a lot faster and maybe hit harder but Manfredy would have had a considerable size advantage and he had a lot of subtle moves that could have given Naz trouble with his unconventional style.

Yeah he was a good solid fighter, you don't beat someone like Gatti if you're not... Prince would have been a good fight, and he could have beaten him imho... Would definitely have been one of the best fighters the Prince would have fought, which isn't saying too much though...

As for being an exciting fighter? Nah... Well not for me at least. He was ok, but nothing too special, which also describes him as a fighter. Definitely top tier in terms of skill, a top fighter, but not one of the special fighters out there...

He was a solid contender but nothing more than that, good all around fighter but didnt have anything that stood out, decent speed, decent power, good skills and a questionable chin, the high point of his career was when he beat Gatti(Stopped due to cuts on Gatti) never managed to beat the elite fighters he faced (Jonhston,Floyd,Corrales) but always showed heart and gave it a go against all of them.
