A hardnosed stand up boxer with reasonable technical ability...Had a good right jab and right hook..Very rarely came in out of shape from what I saw, took what he had a long way for a long time. A sentimental favorite of mine...Though he was a shortlived champ and really a perennial fringe contender who benefited from a poor second tier at jnrmiddle-middle not challenging that status. Tough guy...need more fighters like him around.
He was a top ten type fighter. Not world champion caliber regardless of his WBU title or whatever it was
