How good was De La Hoya's greatest trainer, Jesus "The Professor" Rivero?

    Having just recently watched his new documentary, I had never heard of Oscar De La Hoya's greatest coach Jesus Rivero (according to Oscar himself). A former communist university professor, Rivero trained Miguel Canto (WBC champ) for 14 successful title defenses. He then trained Oscar for his fights against Chavez, Gonzalez and Whitaker. But that's all I can find. Do you guys know any other fighters he trained? And how would you assess his performance as a trainer?

    What I find interesting is he dismissed Julio Cesar Chavez as a brawler with no technique. To hear a Mexican championship trainer say that is pretty interesting. He supposedly focused on defensive boxing, feints and movement...the typical opposite of "Mexican style".

    Delahoya's greatest coach was easily Alcazar, always made him push the jab, he went jab for jab with probably the best jabber of the generation in Ike Q. I think he brought Rivero in specifically for defense only. Not much in the way of offense. Unless Alc and Rivero combined their wisdom and put it all on Oskee in training to utilize all the tools. Wasnt in his camps though so this is just guessing.
