Well right now it's just fun, and funny. Plus, you never know what good stuff Klompton is going to come up with.
When did i claim Willard wasn't worthy of a second fight? you are making things up as you go along my friend, claiming Greb to be a worthy challenger from 1919 to 1925 yet he was beaten by Gene Tunney in febuary 1923 which knocks 2yrs off your argument and leaves us with 1919-1923 Dempsey like all champions takes an easy first defence against Miske then fights Brennan who was on a 24 fight unbeaten run bar a newspaper decision loss with Greb losing out to Tommy Loughran in that same time-span as well as being held to a draw. Dempsey then fought his huge money spinning bout with Frenchman Carpentier....so lets look at the facts here without nut huggin
i can understand it ok but are you claiming Dempsey would not take a percentage of all his fights gate receipts ?
Yet he was able to beat Gene Tunney. Yeah, right! Besides styles aren't what makes a fighter worthy, wins are. Back to the drawing board for you!
You posted ONE link written by a newspaperman with no affiliation to either camp and have avoided answering WHY Dempsey fought a 4 round fight with Darcy. Now you trying to offer up Dempseys frame of mind by claiming what he "obviously" wanted, but again with no proof.
no wins are not.. it is quality that counts and Tunney mastered Greb over the next 5yrs finishing with 3 decisive victories over him and a very debatable draw..
Lol, you're a laughing stock of this section. That ONE link was a newspaperman's opinion and provided ZERO facts.
This right here completely destroys ANY theory you have that Dempsey shouldn't have fought Greb since Harry held numerous wins over Jack's opponents. You're seriously TO easy!
To be fair, Dempsey beat: Fulton-#1 contender (Greb might have avoided) Willard-champion (Greb was interested in fighting) Firpo-highly rated contender (avoided Greb)
