    A fat Ruiz KOed Joshua

Lyle hit harder and had a better chin than Ruiz

Joshua is a chinny bodybuilder. .. a Frank Bruno type with better skill ...

Yes but Joshua learned from his mistake and BEAT Ruiz in the rematch. This is current Aj we're talking about. It doesn't change the fact that Aj has a weak chin but Ruiz is faster than Lyle and is a better combination puncher. Lyle may hit harder than Ruiz but Aj has the size and speed advantage and would probably catch Lyle first and wear him down at mid-long range. Aj knows how to box on his toes and counter well

Joe Frazier could hook the hell out of any fighter that stayed on the line after punching, his hook was amazing, he would have destroyed Wilder quicker than Fury did.

Isn´t this thread about 90s Foreman?

What most on this board call prime Foreman is the version up to fighting Ali. That young fighter won olympic gold and started at young age with a trimmed 219 lb.

At that time including Ali, the data of 38 fights & weights from boxrec is:

    Average: 206. 87 lb
    Median: 203.75 lb

Conclusion: Young GF, a trimmed 220lb fighter, did in fact have a ~ 15 lb weight advantage on his KO-streak up to Ali.

And yes, he wouldn´t have that advantage if he started today.

That said, we should keep in mind that even a young Ali (60s), as well as Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis had a weight advantage to some extent in their career.
Looking at a young 6'4" 220lb George, its pretty obv. to see that he was bigger than the men he fought. Saw some data on another blog with Sonny Liston resulting in an even bigger gap.

Ruiz has a bulletproof chin. Lyle was stopped by an aging Ali. That's a lie to end all lies.

I'm talking about styles too. Ali could use his legs, speed and reflexes against bigger fighters and get in and out. 70s Foreman wouldn't be able to change his tactics.

He def had a size advantage in the 70s. The point I was stating was that he wasn’t solely dependent on his size. He had other skill sets that allowed him to succeed. Bring big alone won’t cut it but when you can combine that with certain skills you get a Lewis or Foreman.

It is a disservice to Lewis to mention his skillset in the same breath as 70s Foreman's.
