Ive only seen the Tua and Byrd fights and he looked a solid fighter. Fair skills with a solid chin and good knock out ratio. Obviously he would have had to step up another level but could he have been a contender? How do you think he would have coped with early 2000s Lewis/Wlad/Vitali etc
Ibeabuchi was pretty good but he would have had his ass handed to him by Vladimir and Vitali. No contest. Ibeabuchi would have to settle for being third best.
IF he stayed dedicated, and more consistent he would have beat Vitali early on I think. With that kind of workrate, speed, combinations, and power. I really think he does very well and puts up an awesome classic fight against Lewis. Lewis would win in a close fight, similar to the Mercer fight. Wlad probably would get knocked out early by Ike if he started as fast as he did against Tua. the only thing is how he would deal with Wlad's jab and reach, he never really saw that kind of thing before
Ibeabuchi was a better prospect than both Klitschkos in both skill and excitement that the heavyweight division so badly needed. The division was on the verge of being great again before he went off the tracks. He didnt fufill his potential, but he had a lot of it for a guy with 20 fights. Who showed more potential in 20 fights?
If Ike had stayed motivated & dedicated to boxing, then i could've seen him brutally stopping Wlad early & giving exciting wars to Lewis & Vitali, of which he might win the latter.
Wlad would be too green to beat Ike imo he would open up too early and Ike would swarm all over him with combos
Wlad was "too green" even in 2004 with a record of 42-2, Manny Steward in his corner & for his previous 2 fights, Tommy Brooks before that, great shape as always...yet Brewster brutally halted him. Putting pressure on Wlad makes him gass, plus he's hopeless on the inside. He needs to control the pace & range with his jab, plus stop hold on constantly when punchers get close. Peter & Brewster were both badly faded damaged-goods in the rematches with Wlad, so to say he's improved a lot is not exactly proven, plus he never rematched Old Sanders...
