The recent Zhilei Zhang upset of Joyce made me wonder about other heavyweights of recent times with underwhelming resumes.

Do you think Dychko could have achieved a lot as a pro had he turned pro earlier and been better managed? As it is he seems to have wasted his best years.

I guess we will Never know. He was huge, well-schooled and had serviceable power, but the raps against him were that he didn't quite punch his weight, and had a so-so chin. Majodov almost took his head off.

He certainly could have, and still could, beat a lot of these jokers.

The name Ivan Dychko is a cross between “ Ivan Drago” and “ Wladimir Klitschko “. And he IS after all 6’9”. So yes. Given those parameters alone he should have dominated and been even greater than Ali or Louis

I don't know about that but it seems he had the potential to be better than guys who accomplished far more than him like say John Ruiz or Oliver McCall.
