Always heard about him since HS ( Hes a former HS wrestling stand out we alsoknow same people and from same city) but never followed his MMA career... Recently i met him at my gym (real nice guy) where he was working training former jF boxingchamp Daniel Ponce Deleon. Hes helping out Ponce with strength and conditioning for his upcoming fight against the bigger Adrian Broner. Real impressive as a trainer they were doing some rigourous stuff... Funny though you have and MMA guy training a Boxer at a bodybuilding gym Really cool after the workout he was talking with great enthusiasm about his training techniques and what he was working with DP Deleon on. How good was his MMA career? I only now he beat Manny Rodriguez for some kind of Heavyweight title, and that know he is a MMA ref.
Well he has had 3 fights according to sherdog and has went undefeated. all three of his fights were in the King of The Cage org. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Larry-Landless-9053 I couldnt find his second fight with Tony Berg but these are his other two. Judge for yourself. Here is his first fight 12/6/2003 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9g9eHsPZ0k[/ame] here is his last fight 8/6/2004 [dm]xzyqx[/dm] He has been a referee for a while now. started refereeing for King of the Cage and then the Ufc. The fight that got him the most noteriety was the contraversal stoppage between Evan Tanner and Phil Baroni at ufc 45.
Thanks:good Looked like he dominated both fights with his grappling skills, i do know hes a former HS star and currently a HS coach as well as MMA and PHysical trainer..... Im a very knowledgeable boxing fan ,but not too knowledgeable on MMA how would have Landless done against todays top guys?
