At one point Bradley was ranked 8th among the Top 10 middleweights during that period and was unbeaten, who was the first fighter to beat him and did you see that bout? Who could he have beaten at that stage at middle or maybe super middle?

Bradley was a decent fighter. He held the WBO belt when it didn't mean too much, and mostly defended against either non descript opponents, or name fighters that were over the hill. He was never going to hold the real title back in the 90s where so many good fighters were active. That being said, he would certainly be competitive with most top ten fighters currently.

He wouldn`t have been competitive with Canelo or GGG though.

Holmes? Lindell Holmes or Keith Holmes? Keith was rated No.8 at light middle while Bradley was 23-0 by the ring magazine.

I'd rather be lucky than good any day.

2 victories over Johnson, 2 victories over JD Jackson... a contender for years. Tough as old boot leather.

So you meant Lindell Holmes not Keith Holmes?

Castro was awful against Norris and Jones though.

Castro was rated 4th in the mag where I read that Bradley was 8th at middle some time in `96

He was brilliant against Jones. Roy had stopped every opponent up to that point and wouldn't get taken the distance again until Hopkins. Castro had him where he wanted him but ran out of rounds. Derrick Harmon lasted 10 against Roy. He only made it 7 against Castro.

I'd say that Castro was definitely better than Bradley. Bradley was outside the top 10 best middleweights of the 90s, that's no disgrace though as there was a hell of a lot of talented middleweights that fought in the 90s.

Oh yes I remember Keith fighting Woodhall, Lindell Holmes lost tio Chris Eubank Sr in a WBO title fight at super middle.

If Johnson got so robbed the first time around (and he didn't) why did he essentially return to the scene of the crime and get robbed again (which he didn't)?

Do we castigate Marciano for bailing his own @ss out against Walcott with a "lucky punch"? Let's celebrate Castro the same way or are there differing measures for these fighters' greatness?

And please to explain how one is protected when matched against Norris, Jones, Jr., the oft-ducked Reggie Johnson, John David Jackson, JC Gomez, Mayfield, Harmon...etc. If someone was protecting him they were doing a pretty horrible job.

All highly suspect contentions. Fake news. Fake news.

I'm a big fan of Johnson but Castro was too cagey and too strong. Great performances to stifle a tricky southpaw.

He had Jackson right where he wanted him, overconfident and vulnerable. Don't believe Czyz or Pacheco.

He was ranked by Ring as a cruiser, by the by.
