You don't think Kessler's vision being compromised was a factor? Ward was great in his own respect, but he wasn't the Chinese puzzlebox / master unraveler that Calzaghe was. Maybe he would have still beaten Kessler without fouls and the perhaps preexisting eye troubles - but it's no guarantee.
Better than Joe Smith. Worse than Bivol. Maybe just barely better than a prime Gvozdyk. He had a good offense and chin, but lacked in his feinting and angles and didn’t move his head much.
Palle didn't want the fight at the parken stadium in Copenhagen he wanted it here in Cardiff as the revenue was better at the time , not a huge fan of Warren but he was open to the venue and Joe having fought in Denmark before was also game .
