Seems everyone judges him in the Tyson fight where he was ripped off and unmotivated beforehand...after that he had a lot of losses...

How good was he? How good could he have been?

If he had developed and not gotten into drugs, probably a champion. He still is probably one of the fastest heavys I've seen in the past 25-30 yrs and could take a helluva shot. But between that pro debut and the Berbick fight, lot of things went wrong for him.

I saw that fight a number of years ago, and there's no way Green deserved that decision. What's worse, is that he was a 28 year old man facing a 19 year old novice, who was a full head shorter than he was and still got schooled. I have not seen any other performances from Mitch Green other than the Tyson fight, but I was not very impressed by it, nor am I impressed by his comp list..

Saw his fight with Jumbo Cummings, Green was definitely the winner, but Cummings caught him good three times.

I'd go as far as saying he lost every round. How that guy can claim Green was ripped off i don't know, maybe he's talking about the street fight?

He also was a pretty decent amateur, beating Tony Tubbs and holding his own against several other notables.

Ripped off? Tyson dominated him. Green was a mediocre Heavy with good durability. Definitely not worth 2 threads in the span of a few days.

All i know about him is that he fought full 10 rounds with prime Mike Tyson. Not a bad achievement.

I think he meant that Green thought he was being ripped off financially and wasn't going to go in the ring...

What Green did in that fight was show how easy it was to get under Tyson's skin.
