Id pick all of those guys to beat an 8 fight Bonavena. Bonavena might get an upset against a Rischer (which Im amazed he was ever rated) or a London based on his strength but lets be honest. All of those guys had a lot more experience and seasoning at that point and had been in with some good names and done well, even the inconsistent guys like Rischer and London had notched better wins than anything Bonavena would do for a couple of years AT LEAST. Yeah the knee jerk reaction would be to say that he beat Mildenberger and Chuvalo but his fight with Chuvalo 2 years later was very close, you think an inexperienced Bonavena would do better than the guy who had another two years of experience and 14 more fights and still only eaked out a decision? You think he beats the 1965 Mildenberger who was in his prime? Hardly. Hes also not beating Terrell, Patterson, Machen, Folley, Jones, or Ali (who isnt even on these ratings for obvious reasons). His best bet might be Alongi and I wouldnt even bet on that.
