This is silly because Pac, so far, has only one catch weight fight and it's against Cotto! ODLH fight was a welterweight fight, fought at 147 limit, not at catchweight!atsch
I expected Oscar to win. But then having watched the fight and having heard Roach say that Oscar was drained, it is not at all impressive. It would've been if Oscar didn't look like garbage though.
good observation. oscar thought he could knockout pac inside 5 rounds. that's he didn't train seriously for this fight. oscar, like most pac's opponents understimated pac and paid the price dearly.
Oscar had a longer camp for this fight than any other. He was on or around weight for weeks prior. Why make stuff up? What other Pacquaio opponents under estimated him incidentally? Are you ****in stoned?
It did show how overrated Manny's power is. Manny landed powershot after powershot. I have never seen a fighter take so much punishment without being KO'd. In fact, He never had DLH badly hurt. DLH was old and definatly drained. Having said that, I didn's see it coming.
Hoya fight was just a money fight, nothing to gleam about it, just as the Hoya - Mayweather fight was. Not fault of May or Pac because Hoya is a one-quarter fighter and three - quarters business man and way past his prime already.
hindsight is 20/20.so many people on my ship thought Pac was going to get demolished by oscar.I remember tracking it on ESPN's 12 Rounds updater during my first deployment. There weren't any excuses til well after the fact. The general consensus was Pac was going to lose badly because he was too small and then he jumped on oscar like a swarm of hornets moving in the shape of a person. You can't discredit that after the fact. That's cheap.
Not particularly good IMO because I said before the fight that DLH was too old & slow. Its always gonna be difficult to beat someone with power who is faster than you.
I don't fault Manny for his win over Oscar, but I fault the fans for glorifying it while ignoring the circumstances. If you look at all the factors, it wasn' t that impressive.
