I remember that post. He was a decent poster until it came to hamed. Then he went off the rails. Beats Armstrong and Saddler, amongst the others, lol? You cannot make that **** up.

 

Naz was very good offensively and probably the hardest hitting featherweight ever, but I feel like his defense left more to be desired. His reflexes were always great, but he did leave himself open quite a bit. In his last couple of fights, he started to get caught and knocked down more. Plus, he didn't put the necessary work when it came to training and whatnot. He, like Bowe before him, wasn't too keen on the training part of boxing. That (besides the hand issues) was probably his downfall.

Not to mention that his ego became a runaway train at his peak. That documentary that was made on the buildup of the superfight between Hamed and Marco Antonio Barrera showed that. He was BEYOND egotistical in that movie. When Marco schooled him, he was never the same. Barrera essentially retired him.

 

He was legit.

Not only that, Vazquez was 37 for that fight and had been kod a few times before that fight. Johnson was 33 and hadnt beaten anyone worthwhile in years. Bungu barely got by former fly Danny Romero and also Ernesto Grey at 122 in 2 of the 3 fights just before fighting Hamed. If those are your 3 best wins at 126, your resume is nothing special.
