For what its worth, Lewis' 100m runs from his last olympics would have only finished him in 4 th place at the last olympics. Although Ben Johnson, who actually beat Louis on that day, would have also finished ahead of Usain Bolt and taken Gold.
Funny, Lewis and Ben Johnson nearly had a fis-fight at the 1988 olympics, Johnson headbutted Lewis in the chest but Lennox grabbed him and flung him around.
Bowe only weighed 200lbs in the olympic final the Bowe that Gonzales knocked out was a lot more slender than Bowe in his prime in the 90`s.
You never fought a single fight, but you feel comfortably with facing world champions and top contenders. Looking good means nothing when you enter the ring, you should know that.
I feel comfortable facing some old timers that were champions, not more modern ones. I never claimed I'd beat Tyson, Ali, Foreman, Lewis, etc.
But this is ridiculous... no matter when they fought these fighters were experienced and knew how to fight. You've never did anything more than a light sparing by your own words. Who was the first champion you feel you wouldn't beat?
Yes, they were experienced and knew how to fight, but their skills are not good enough compared to more modern boxers. There are amateurs out there that would mop the floor with champions from the past. I've also had more serious matches/challenges, but not too many. Anyway, when we spar, we don't just tap each other, we land some solid shots as well, the big difference is that we don't follow up if our sparing partner is hurt. The first one I feel I definitely would stand no chance whatsoever of beating is Liston. That does not mean I'd automatically beat those before him, not by any means, but at least I feel I'd have a chance with them.
Primo Carnera was better. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...fighter-primo-carnera-or-riddick-bowe.585492/
Im not sure if we should listen to you. I remember the time you went on a 10 page monologue about how Kimbo Slice would KO prime Joe Louis in an ATG war.
