How good was rocky marciano?

I do think the criticism of his opponents gets way out of hand but I still don’t think it’s gotten to the “hatred” level.

Again, in my own rankings he’s No. 5 all-time but I think he would struggle H2H in the ring against an awful lot of people. But I think he would literally die trying against anyone, and I understand that is part of his appeal and why he’s so beloved.
