How good was he? Did he achieve his potential? Or was there more that he could of done? Notable wins/losses? How would he of fared in today's scene/division?
Off topic(rgarding the actual question) but wasn't he in Sasha Dimitreno's corner a few days ago when he lost to Pulev? Seemed to say the right things just that the big lad didn't wanna be there.
He didn't seem to be saying much at all other than "Come on, you can do it" He was a decent heavyweight in his day. Embarrassing loss to a little pikey lightweight though.
So it was him. Remember he did tell him to use the jab and be more active. More mental aspects aproached by him there I guess which Dimi needs.
To be fair, Pulev was an absolute beast. Dimitrenko hit him with everything he had and the shots just seemed to bounce off him. He's a big old lump as well. I don't think anyone's going to be lining up to fight Pulev.
I liked him when he was fighting, powerful and usually value for money. The fights against Oyebola were particularly memorable. Did let himself down against Akinwande though, I remember being so disappointed with his performance that night. I think he'd do particularly well domestically nowadays, I even think he would have more of a chance on the world scene, it's not as good as when he was in the game. I know somebody who is friends with him now, and they tell me he is involved in the fitness game, and he offers advice/training to professional footballers amongst other things. To which embarrassing loss do you refer to?:think
