I can see rating him fourth. After Carlos Ortiz, Gomez, and Benitez, the rankings of Puerto Rican champions become fairly open to interpretation. He was clever and ridiculously durable.

Unfortunately he had some substance abuse issues in retirement, relating to drinking his own wares as a liquor salesman, ultimately suffering from diabetes. Sadly, substance abuse has been a continual danger for Puerto Rican fighters over the generations.

Nah, the Puerto Rican top 4 is clear imo.

Trinidad is at #4. Benitez is at #3. And the 1-2 spot really comes down to preference between Ortiz/Gomez.

The 5-10 spots are wide open.
