    For those of you that care, Johnston won a ten rounder last night. Which makes me ask the question how good was he in his prime?
    The only fight I've seen of him is his second fight with Jose Luis Castillo, where he looked pretty good.

    one of my favourites at his prime he was great,very gutsy and skillfull fighter with a great chin and decent power at one point he was in the Rings top 10 pound for pound and rightfully so.he beat good fighters like James Page,koed Sharmba Mitchell,beat Bazan,Manfredy etc and for me he was robbed twice against Castillo.than he started to have some out of the ring problems and was never the same anymore.i would have loved to see him there with Mosley at 135.

    One of the smoothest boxers you ever saw. Accurate, hard to hit, exellent stamina. If I could pick a modern boxer to box like, I would want to box like him. His loss to JLC in the first fight was a huge upset, as lots of people, myself included, didn't know how good JLC was.

    Johnston is one of my favorite fighters. He lost a couple of years of his career after a bad car crash, and has money problems, also. Probably why he's still fighting.

    Mosely/Johnston was one of the biggest "fights that never happened" in recent years. Would have been great to see.

    At his best, an elite fighter.

    Motor City Sam and bladerunner described him perfectly. Slick, skillful, and crafty. It's a shame Mosley/Johnston never happened.

    Good boxer, but not much power at all.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Johnston was very good, but he would NOT have beaten Floyd. May is just a higher calibre of fighter.
