i dont know much about him, i'v only briefly looked at boxrec, he racked up some decent wins against some very good fighters, how would his skills have fared today i'm sure he'd beat any one currently at 154 could he have been P4P the best?

Well, IMO, Terry Norris is way better boxer than Cory Spinks, has decent though not devastating power. Probably the same power as a guy like Travis Simms.

I tell you, if DLH has trouble with slick guys, he'll have a hell of a time to beat Norris who also can be aggressive when necessary. If SSM hurt Oscar, then Norris can definitely stop him at 154.

Mayorga would probably never had a prayer.

The guy who would really give Norris a tough fight in today's 154 is Vernon Forrest. Vernon's jab and power will be a tough chore to handle.

Don't be misled by his losses to Santana. Norris was known to blow his cool. He displayed his maturity when he got it right the third time. Plus he also displayed Versatility in beating Simon Brown in the rematch.

WHen talking about Norris, I really don't consult boxrec. Names already pop up by themselves. Leonard, Brown, Pettway, Vaden, Meldrick Taylor, Donald Curry etc. etc. truly a well deserved HOFamer.

He was a pretty good fighter, what I remember from him is his extreme speed. Watch the Leonard fight, his speed in that fight was phenomenal. I think if he were around in this era, he would be champ, dare I say, he was good enough to beat Mayweather.

Norris was a great fighter. If I'm correct he is in the hof. Great hand speed and good power. He was skillful but he lacked a chin. He had quite a few losses but some were early in his career and some were when he was past it. It should also be mentioned that he only had one legit loss when he was at his best and that was to Simon Brown, which he would later avenge. 2 of his losses while in his prime came from getting discqualified for hitting Luis Santana after the bell and knocking his ***** ass out both times. He finally knocked him out for a third time but finally got the win and his title back.

Hand speed, good punch , but kind of fragile and often got too aggresive , leading himself wide open.Towards the end of his career, Tery couldn't take any kind of punch at all. I saw him in Canastota in '02, and he looked like a million bucks, and seemed happy and healthy.
