    That is a fairly easy claim to back up with some of these fights.

    Dont mean to divert this thread to another topic; its not worth starting another thread for but can anyone answer this question:

    how strong was harry greb? to take on HWs ive read he was freakishly strong, similar to Jeffries or Fitz, but tbh he does not look strong in that footage of him. when he's clowning with jack o brien, obrien is shoving him with force, harry doesnt seem to have much balance is taking off. again, this was him messing around so who knows, but was he very strong, or if he was not, how was he able to take on HWs without being too roughed up?

    They simply allow their logic to judge for them by reading the vast accounts of Newspaper reports of the day.

    I can claim that Whitaker beat Ramirez in their first fight, despite the fact that he is recorded losing. I can also claim that Whitaker beat De La Hoya, despite the fact that not only is he listed as losing, but I understand it to be a controversial opinion (albeit not necessarily a minority one).

    I can make these claims by watching the fights, regardless of the official outcome. They can make them by reading the reports (from a variety of sources so as to understand every side of the argument), regardless of the official verdicts.

    Not to mention, the majority of Greb's fights were Newspaper decisions, of which many in recent times have been overturned upon new evidence (for example, Tunney was originally penned as going 1-4 with Greb on Boxrec, whereas, with assumingly just a bit of new evidence, his "official" record against him has changed to 1-3-1). A fight that's listed as a loss, draw, or NC on someone's record now doesn't mean that it's incapable of being corrected in the future.

    Like many great fighters it mattered on the match up ... Flowers did not have a great chin and was knocked out many times ... he gave Greb hell because he matched him with speed and volume and Greb lacked the punch to expose his chin .. still at 160 he was a terrific fighter ... most of the ko losses came against light heavies ...
