How good was Tim Austin?

    I think im gonna order some of his dvd's..I saw one of his fights but it was an amateur fight a long time ago..What made him Good? Does he Still have a chance to do more?

    I really liked him, although i never saw him too often, was a very good boxer.

    Austin was a power hitting southpaw with some skills. You just did not see many like him in the lower weights. I liked his stuff.

    Yeah that would be nice..I have to look in my stash..I have many of his amateur fights, none of his pro stuff tho

    very good fighter his performance against Adan Vargas was something special.

    he was hardcore ..don king for a promoter and inactivity was the down fall of his career

    Yeah he had a Brilliant amateur career 113-9 Bronze in the olympics,2 time natianal golden gloves champ n many more

    Austin was good. He was extremely rangey for a bantamweight. He could box and put a lot into each punch he threw. He had 'square' like shoulders similar to Hearns as a welterweight.

    Yep. Austin also had rail thin legs like Hearns.

    Tim was great to watch, he was one of those fighters that other fighters would take thier seats to appreciate on big fight nights..
