Who can forget the TRT Vitor run lol,he was likely on the juice throughout his career like so many of the top fighters from the PRIDE era but imo he will definitely be remembered as 1 of the pioneers and greats of the sport.
He is a level below the very best but his longevity and ability to stay at the top for 20+ years in several weight divisions has to be respected

He had wins over: Wanderlei Silva, Luke Rockhold, Bisping, Dan Henderson (x2), Rich Franklin, Randy Couture, 'Rumble' Johnson, and Matt Lindland. That's a hell of a resume.

Unfortunately those awesome wins are obscured by the fact that he had some unusually bad losses: Sakuraba, Randy, and all of the late career losses where he was pretty much checked out. Vitor was a front runner, and if guys could survive the blitz and fire back he typically faded.

He was a part of the greatest BJJ lineage ever through Carlson Gracie, but when he was tired or frustrated his grappling actually became a huge liability, as it was against Weidman and later Jacare.

His career is an odd one. So many losses to big names , but so many wins against big names.

Great hands - good technique, handspeed, power. He was a natural.. Obviously has a questionable legacy due to PED usage and inconsistency throughout. But can't deny his talent.
