    Well Clompty,

I get the sense your taking the opportunity to pile more on Dempsey, and aren't looking forward to the truth being revealed on Wills.

Wills got hurt and quickly surrendered vs a journeyman. He would not go another round.

Wills lacked the b@lls to fight George Godfrey, who was the 1st or 2nd best black heavyweight in the 1920's. Based on the films I have seen of both men, Godfrey was better and would have won without handcuffs. Godfrey's manager tried to make the match several times. Wills declined. He also declined a match with Tunney. Notice a pattern here?

Ducking two big names, and quickly surrendering in a fight before.

You realize Sam Langford was battle worn and had vision issues when he fought Wills? Still Langford past his prime KO'd Wills twice. Imagine what a prime Langford would have done? Langford, of course, fought many battles with Jeannette and McVey. The easy conclusion is both Jeanette and Mcvey had better chins in comparison to Wills.

If Kid Cotton can spark you early, you do not have a good chin. Who else did Kid Cotton Ko, and note his very low KO%

Many of Wills fights were loudly booed due to lack of action, and possibly skills. As I said, Wills was born at the right time, and beat on past their prime hall of fame guys, while never taking a match with the better younger talents.
